Book News

It’s been over a year since Separation Anxiety: A Coming of Middle Age Story was released. Here’s a look back at the  amazing journey this has been.
November 2014. This is the first time I held the book in my hands. Hot off the press from Montreal. (New t-shirt, too.)
December 2014. This is the first time my mother, Pat Campbell, held the book in her hands. A present for her 92nd birthday. A poignant photo. She died on April 29, 2015.
SPRING 2015:  LAUNCH!
And we did. At bookstores, cafes, summer markets, fall  festivals, public libraries…  On radio, TV, in newspapers and magazines.

Over 30 events across 4 provinces in 2015.

 Welcome 2016!

Reader’s Digest published an excerpt from my book in March. I was so thrilled I actually wrote a BLOG about it.

One of the best things to happen this year has been taking the book, along with my story, in new directions. Speaking about my struggles with anxiety at the  Women & Wellness  event in Kelowna . Leading a JanesWalk in Calgary through my childhood neighbourhood. Sharing good books and wine at En Vino Novellus in Canmore. Telling my students, always and everywhere, to “hold fast to  dreams.”
And I’m not done yet. Eastward and on-word!
Thank you for your support along the way.  The adventure continues.
Warm summer wishes,

Miji
