Cea Sunrise Person rising at STARFest 2017
It was an honour and a pleasure to meet Cea Sunrise Person in person (!) and host her reading at STARFest, St. Albert Reader’s Festival. This is the 7th year for STARFest, an annual celebration of writing and reading at the St. Albert Public Library. They pulled out all the stops for Canada’s 150, featuring over 15 Canadian writers at events from September through November.
Introducing Cea
Cea’s first memoir, North of Normal chronicles growing up with her “counterculture” family in the wilderness of Alberta, BC and the Yukon and then going on to a successful modelling career at age 13. Nearly Normal continues her astounding life story.
Naturally, we all had questions for Cea about living “off the grid” in so many ways. Her answers were courageous, funny, heartbreaking, and uplifting.
