It has been four years since Separation Anxiety was published. Time to reflect on this amazing journey of spreading the word(s). It is also CMHA Mental Health Week. Time to #getloud about mental health. Blog on!
For almost 40 years Red Deer College has proudly offered its Series Summer Arts School, and this year I am thrilled to be part of it. I am instructing a full-week course “Writing a Gift of Story” and a one-day course “Memoir-abilia.” See my post for course details and links to the RDC Registration pages.
It was a wonderful turnout at the Fish Creek Library for their weekly Book Discussion Group. I am grateful to all our libraries for the wonderful programs they offer, and to Fish Creek Library for asking me back a second time to discuss “Separation Anxiety” and the craft of personal writing.
Saturday gave us a glorious Fall day – perfect for the drive to Keephills AB. My heartfelt appreciation to the organizers, the local authors, and all the folks who joined us for the event. Warm and welcoming – as promised!
My thanks to the book club in Rocky Mountain House for choosing Separation Anxiety for their October gathering, and extending the invitation for me to join them online via Facetime.
